writing pid to syslog in dhcpd 4.3.2

Marc Haber
Hi,

When a DHCP server runs multiple instances of the dhcp daemon (for
example one for IPv4 and one for IPv6), it can be a challenge to know
which instance of the server generated which output.

Is it possible to have dhcpd 4.3.2 log its pid to syslog as well?

Grüße
Marc

Please check out the “enable-log-pid” build option during the configure process.

Thanks. I didn't expect that to be not configurable at run time.

yes...historical and cant recall why its not a default in the server with
a simple 'log-pid' directive needed in the configuration to activate it...
