Using UUID instead of MAC as host hardware

Mimiko
Hello.

I have a host definition identified by `hardware ethernet ...` to assign
ip and host-name. I want to use UUID displayed on client computer as
identifier instead of MAC. How this can be achieved?

Thank you.

Using UUID instead of MAC for host identification in DHCP is uncommon, but you can configure your DHCP server to recognize client identifiers via DHCP options https://thepcgames.pro/ . It’s like switching from standard pc games download methods to a unique, device-specific approach for better control.
